This early 1960s FLER Kalinga suite is one of the rarest Fred Lowen designs, especially as a full suite in original covers. The wool upholstery is still in great condition and they have been professionally washed and re-stuffed with new cushions so feel new. This is a great way to get the suite now at a reasonable price and re upholster at a later date while having a practical solid piece to use now. The sofa also came out with low back cushions that change the look of the daybed which could be replicated when reupholstering. I have only seen one other kalinga daybed and I now have it in storage, the chairs are very rare also and hardly ever turn up in a pair. They are similar to the Narvik but have an over the top back upright and heavily pointed arms. This is an amazing chance to own a rare collectable piece of furniture while they are still affordable. The factory FLER Kalinga labels are still on the frames.
